Hulhule Island Hotel (HIH) has won the culinary challenge at the Hotel Asia Fair for a fourth time.
The five star hotel has become the only participant to win this challenge on four occasions after it won this year’s culinary challenge by competing with chefs from all around the world.
The hotel was also given the “Best Culinary Establishment” award in the culinary challenge by an international judging panel. A trophy and USD750 was awarded to the team by the hotel.
Ahmed Fatheen from Ananthara Resort was chosen as the best Maldivian chef among culinary challenge participants from more than 40 Maldivian resorts which participated in the challenge. He was awarded a two-way ticket to Sri Lanka with two nights stay.
Shanila Perera from Conrad Maldives was awarded the best chef award of the competition and awarded two-way tickets to Malaysia with 3 days stay.
The most keenly contested component of the Hotel Asia Exhibition organized by Hotel Asia and Maldives Exhibition and Conference Services (MECS) is the culinary challenge.
