National Day celebrations to be held in Haa Alifu atoll Dhidhdhoo

According to a press release issued by the Ministry, ever since the Ministry was tasked with organizing the National Day celebrations, the venue for the festivities had been changed to a different island every year. Every third year the celebrations are held in Male’, the press release said.
This year the celebrations to mark the National Day of the Maldives had been held in Male’. The National Day is marked every year according to the Hijri Calender and falls on the 1st of Rabi' al-awwal.

Next year’s National Day celebrations and festivities will be held Haa Alifu atoll Dhidhdhoo, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided.
