17-year old boy stabbed

The incident occurred near the Chinese Medical Centre on Faashaanaakilege Magu around 12:45am and the injured boy is now being treated at the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
The Maldives Police Service said that he had suffered a 3-inch long wound to the back his skull and an inch-long wound to his stomach. Police said that they were still investigating the incident and had no idea why the boy had been attacked.
“The report we got said that some people had attacked the boy and fled,” a Police official said. “There were no other details. We are investigating the incident.”
The official said that no one had been arrested in connection to the attack so far.

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed with a sharp object in Malé early Tuesday morning.
