MALE, September 28 (HNS) – Two people were injured Monday midnight in a stabbing over a family disagreement in Seenu atoll Hithadhoo.
According to eyewitnesses, in the assault carried out by two boys and their uncle, one received a gash from his chest to abdomen and the other’s head was injured near his ear.
Police also confirmed the injuries.
The man who received the gash wound is still undergoing treatment at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.
“The man who had his ear cut, was stitched and released. The other who had his chest gashed is still admitted,” an islander said.
The reason, however, is still unknown. A police official said three suspects were arrested.
