Group stabs man inside a cafe

MALE, December 1 (HNS) – A man was stabbed in the back Tuesday midnight inside a cafe in Machangoalhi ward.

The man is being treated at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

A police spokesperson said two others were also injured in the stabbing. However, they were discharged on Wednesday after treatment.

An IGMH spokesperson declined to disclose the victim’s identity on the request of his family.

Police said a group entered the cafe on Maafaiythakurufanu Magu and stabbed the man while he was with the other two.

No suspect has been arrested so far.
