Large numbers of women partake in MDP protest last night

Large numbers of women took part in Former President Mohamed Nasheed's Maldivian Democratic Party's (MDP) anti-government protest last night which has continued since last Friday.

The women contingent had joined in the protest after the conclusion of a women’s meeting held in support of MDP at Dharubaaruge.

Leaders of the party had addressed the crowd last night which included MP Mariya Ahmed Didi, former Education Minister Shifa Mohamed and former Political Advisor Ibrahim “Ibra” Ismail.
