President Waheed meets Gahaa Saeed

President Mohamed Waheed Hassan Manik has met with former President Mohamed Nasheed's representative to the Commission of National Inquiry (CNI) Ahmed 'Gahaa' Saeed today.

Haveeru has learned during the sit-down held this afternoon, discussions had entailed recommencing the work of the Commission and completing its investigation at the earliest.

The government is yet to make an official comment in relation to the meeting today.

President Waheed on June 10 had claimed that the composition of the CNI would be revised by mid June. Meanwhile, Attorney General Aishath Azima Shakoor had also revealed that the administrative work of recomposing the CNI was currently ongoing.
