Expatriate worker dies after six storey fall

A foreign expatriate worker while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit after sustaining serious injuries from a six storey fall off a building being constructed in Maafannu has died.

Police media official revealed that man who fell off the sixth floor of Maafannu Muhdhu is Bangladesh national. Official added that the man was in critical condition when he was rushed to Indira Gandhi memorial Hospital (IGMH).

IGMH also detailed that the victim in critical condition was admitted to the ICU.

Police detailed that reason for the fall is yet to be determined while it is also not clear whether the building had observed worker safety measures.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
