A 17 year old and an expatriate worker were stabbed on two separate locations in the capital in the wee hours of this morning.

Police media official revealed that the 17 year old had been stabbed in the back around 4.30 this morning by two motorists. The victim is currently receiving treatment at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for injuries suffered as a result of the attack.

Meanwhile, in a similar incident, an expatriate worker was also stabbed in the back believed to be by two motorists around the same time as the stabbing attack on the 17 year old, official detailed.

The injured foreigner was receiving treatment at ADK Hospital.

Police added that the both victims were not in serious condition.

Though investigations into the attacks are currently underway, no arrests have been made thus far.

While authorities are struggling to curb the increased gang related violence recently, similar stabbing attacks have resulted in several deaths during the year.
