An heir of Abdul 'Bobby' Muheeth of Galolhu Veyru, Male, who had been murdered during February this year has asked for capital punishment to be implemented even for minors accused in Muheeth's murder at the Juvenile court on Thursday.
Meanwhile a half sister of Muheeth has said on Thursday that she wanted capital punishment to be implemented on all three people accused of her brother’s murder.
All three minors accused by the State over the murder of Bobby have denied all charges. All three children are accused of first degree murder.
A high ranking juvenile court official said that the heir had asked to implement the capital punishment on the minors if they were found guilty of the crime. However, the official did not disclose any details of the heir.
The official further revealed that two of the four witnesses were presented by the State on Thursday to give testimonies to refute the statements provided by the defence witnesses earlier. The court official said that the State had informed that they do not need statements of the other two witnesses.
He said that clarifying the background details of the state presented experts and their detailed statement of the evidence will be accommodated in the next hearing.
He said that a hearing of the case is to be scheduled soon.
The State has filed charges at the criminal court against Ali Mushahfau of Sultan Villa Seenu Atoll Maradhoo, Muhujath Ahmed Naasih of Abulagee Ge, Gaaf Dhaal Atoll Gahdhoo and Mohamed Maimoon of Zaithoonige, Lhaviyani Naifaru, for the murder of Bobby.
